Our dog found this nest just across the street from our house in our
neighbors park strip. They are "kill deers." Ashlyn, Holden and Gabe
shortly after became obsessed with them! Sadly, there were 3 eggs, one
hatched, one died trying to hatch and the other never hatched ;(. But it
was fun for the kids to watch the parents try and protect their eggs.
They pretend to by injured and drag a wing on the ground to try and make
you follow them away from their next. And man do they make a lot of
noise!
